Forex Day Trading Signal Service Sees a Market Drop

So it was all of 5 days ago a forex day trading signal service I use foresaw a number of forces aligning to predict a strengthening USD and as a result falling stock prices. Here we are all of 5 days later and the DJIA is sitting nearly 600 points lower. I am a happy man this afternoon. What Was Evident 5 Days Ago That Brought About a Stock Market Drop? I don’t honestly have access to the internal workings of the machine that produces the forex day trading signal market calls but suffice to say I read the signals and drew my own conclusions from them. I had initially warded off US residents from subscribing to the service given it is designed for a particular type of trading not allowed in the US but the SIGNALS themselves (not necessarily the trading platform itself) have already proven themselves incredibly valuable to those versed in markets and day trading. Today’s economic uncertainty leaves us wondering whether we need to know how to beat inflation or deflation. Prudence (and economic conditions) suggest that it is in our best interest to learn ways to defeat both scenarios. While some solutions are mutually exclusive, other potential activities we engage in regardless of whether we care about how to beat inflation or deflation. Typical Concerns in a Deflation Scenario One the biggest problems in a declining price environment is the inability to pay off debts. In part this is due to a perfect storm of mis-fortune plaguing debtors. Many times this scenario plays out first with price declines of major assets (such as we’re seeing in the real estate market now). I write a lot about day trading news releases, or more importantly forex movements of the major currencies. The reasoning is simple: when the forex market traders take (or unwind) large positions in a particular currency pair, stock markets around the world are immediately impacted by money multipliers. Right now the number one un-leveraged (or infinitely leveraged depending on your view of these things) is the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Here’s a schedule of when they will be playing and how much they intend to unilaterally move the markets. You can use this information to help you interpret the movements of forex markets and place better binary options trades. On days when treasury market actions settle and cash pours into the market – it has to go somewhere. In some cases it is going into treasuries (driving those securities higher) but in many cases money is relieved from weak positions and pushed out into riskier assets. Currency options trading strategies typically involve open ended risk which endangers large amounts of invested capital. There are other ways to take more manageable bite sized chunks of risk however. Here’s a couple of forex trading strategies you might explore to try to make money. Forex Binary Options Trading You may or may not be familiar with binary options. In short, these small investments (ranging from as little as $30 to $3000) yield 60% give or take a few percent on an hourly or daily basis. Trading with a forex binary options broker allows the investor to start with as little as $100 yet still earn 60-80% yields on these facinating short term trades. The pros of this sort of investment are the limited downside risk (only invested capital is risked), high yields, no transaction costs, and micro-sized investments. Binary options make money today as we are on the lookout for intervention to pull the market out of its downswing. Although the Fed has been doing its level best to prop up markets we see the present lull between rounds of quantitative easing QE1 and QE2 as the source of the fall. Trading desks are using the lack of real bids in the market to push sellers into the market lower during the interim between rounds of Fed debt monetizing. If ever there were an indication that it is newly minted money that is driving markets upward and NOT investor confidence or economic forces, then the last couple of trading days were it. Seriously. To make money day trading in this market you have to believe in the story of UP. As fundamentally unstable as the present economy is, the Federal Reserve has taken on the mandate of maintaining asset prices no matter the harm to the US Dollar. Having said that, investors need only know that the only way to escape the train wreck to come is to buy the story until we hit the final chapter… and who knows when that will be? As you might surmise, I have a pretty good guess. What the Fed DID NOT Say About QE2 So the Federal Reserve announced a second round of quantitative easing yesterday, indicating that more targeted long term treasury purchases were on the agenda. The impact of this debt buy out is to force yields down and out the duration curve – lowering borrowing costs and increasing incentives for investors to go longer term and higher risk with their investments. The problem with this strategy is the obvious “when will the music stop / when will the Fed stop propping up the markets / when will the bottom fall out from under me?” question. Making money on forex with options means watching the movements of the various risky cross pairs and playing your hand accordingly. For the entire month of September we’ve been experiencing “the great melt up” as we see the Fed printing money as fast as it can and dumping into the market to inflate asset prices. Welcome to “bubbleconomics part deux”. Today Is No Different One wonders if the Fed knows (it does) or cares (it doesn’t) that the populace knows the stock market is being made into yet another dot-comish size bubble. Day Trading Options to Make Money 7/27/10

Day trading options to make money today involve starting with about a plus 0.6% rise in the S&P 500 off yesterday’s close. We missed with our binary hedge yesterday (which happens more often than not when you don’t get a 50-75bp spread). I’m not 100% certain but I think someone let a cat out of the bag today and I am trying to interpret where that will ultimately lead us long term. This new bit of info has serious implications about what the long term bias should be. It’s… important. Anyway, we had strong risk plus in the forex trading markets overnight. Will have to watch where forex markets move post US open as per normal (markets were still pro risk but weaker than overnight levels). Bias (pending thoughts above) remains negative however I don’t let that constrain me. When it comes to options trading / day trading I go where I think the money is going, regardless of bias. Strong Yen Won’t Make Money on S&P 500

A strong Yen this morning will not make money for the S&P 500 and will likely begin reigning in the S&P 500 gains given at the open. Earnings season continues to generate trading opportunities. Overnight weakness in the Yen makes allowances for some of the bounce off of Friday’s lows but post-US open forex trading is indicating a reversal is in the cards. Strong euro overnight and at open is opposing the Yen move and appears dominant for the moment. I am watching for rising VIX and euro turn (weakening) as confirmation. Early Forex Trading in Yen Throws Us Our Bone Well the forex trading in Yen was kind enough to throw us our bone in the way of an intra-day peak in the S&P 500. We had our pick in at S&P about +0.6% on the day from which it has fallen to about neutral at noon EDT. We’ll be watching the Yen for weakness (not counting on it at this point) or falling VIX from this point (anything can happen there) as a signal to run our binary option hedge and will otherwise stand pat and ride out the day.
